Healthy Kids Check

Details: This free online course will prepare Practice Nurses and Aboriginal Health Workers to meet the requirements of the Medicare Healthy Kids Check for 4 year olds. These courses have been developed with funding from the Department of Health and Ageing with input from experts in the field of child health and development. The flexible learning style allows for nurses and health workers to complete the course at their own pace. You’ll receive a printable certificate once you have completed the online assessments.
The Healthy Kids Check may be completed on a child from the age of 3.5 years to 5 years. These online courses focus on the health and development of the 4 year old child, the recommended age for the Healthy Kids Check. Orientation of Nurses new to General Practice
The online Orientation Program has moved to a new home. The course can now be found via the Resources page on the AML Alliance website. For those not familiar with the course, it is designed to provide a comprehensive orientation for nurses working in the general practice environment and an understanding of the roles and responsibilities required.
The cost of the course is $150 per student, is a total of 12 modules and takes approximately 15 hours to complete. To download the course outline click here
