Make a difference to health care in NQ - Have your Say!
Townsville-Mackay Medicare Local wants to hear what you think about health services in your community and it will only take two minutes to Have Your Say!
The Have Your Say! project incorporates new survey technology for smartphones and tablets as well as traditional survey tools.
“Townsville-Mackay Medicare Local is doing a huge amount of work in co-ordinating health care services in the Townsville and Mackay regions and it’s important we hear from the community about their impressions of health care,” TMML chairman Dr Kevin Arlett said.
“We’re asking six simple questions, but the answers will help inform Townsville-Mackay Medicare Local about where the focus needs to be in addressing some complex issues with health care in our community.”
The Have Your Say! survey will be out across the Townsville and Mackay regions with the placement of posters featuring a scannable code through GP practices, pharmacies and a range of allied health professionals as well as workplaces and high traffic areas.
“This is a community focussed campaign and we’ve had fantastic support not only from health professionals but also the Townsville City Council, Port of Townsville who will be helping us to get the message out there,” Dr Arlett said.
Have Your Say! is being delivered by the locally-developed survey app yomstar.
etrainu Director Paul Hoon said Have Your Say! was just one example of how Townsville-Mackay Medicare Local would be engaging with the community using the yomstar survey app.
“We’ve talked a lot about the possibilities and how to get the best out of this tool and it’s great to see it being applied to gather information about the community’s health care needs,” Mr Hoon said.
