Julie Scheuber

CEO

Julie Scheuber is the CEO of Townsville-Mackay Medicare Local. She continues in that role from the former Townsville Division of General Practice where she was first appointed as CEO in 2000.

Julie was a director of UniHealth Pty Ltd from 2005 to 2012, a not for profit James Cook University (JCU) lead general practice set up to meet JCU students health needs and to promote medical research and support medical student education.

Julie has led the growth of Townsville-Mackay Medicare Local and overseen the introduction of a number of new and innovative programs and continues to work with the broad range of stakeholders to deliver coordinated health care solutions across the Townsville and Mackay Health and Hospital Services.

Carol Nolan

RN, DIP APPSC, BAHLTHSC, MN, MRCNA, GAICD

Deputy CEO

TMML Deputy CEO Carol Nolan is a Registered Nurse with a Masters Degree in Nursing. She has a background in tertiary nursing education and community services management and worked with the former Townsville Division of General practice before continuing in her role with the Townsville-Mackay Medicare Local.

Carol is a member of Royal College of Nursing Australia (MRCNA) and the Australian Practice Nurse Association (APNA) and is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

She is also a member of the RCNA Community & Primary Health Care Faculty Advisory Committee.

Anthony Elliott

General Manager Mackay

Anthony Elliott is the General Manager for Townsville-Mackay Medicare Local’s Mackay office. Anthony has a background in clinical community dietetics and community nutrition. Anthony was formerly Director of Compleat Nutrition, a Townsville-based nutrition practice, and former chair of Townsville-Mackay Medicare Local’s Allied health network.

Anthony has worked closely with divisions of general practice in programs and initiatives focused on quality improvement in general practice, chronic disease management and service integration.

Anthony has many years experience working in partnership with multidisciplinary teams in remote indigenous communities to deliver primary health care and health promotion programs. Anthony is currently enrolled in a Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Public Health.
